Meet Alicia

Floral extraordinaire passionate about making your special day look jaw-dropping.

About Me

Hello! My name is Alicia and I am an event florist based in Grand Rapids, MI! I was born and raised in a small town north of Grand Rapids and returned to West Michigan after college. I own a little yellow house with a flower garden with my fiancé Casey. We love road trips and visiting National Parks together. Our pride and joy are our rescue puggles (pug and beagle mixes) Newton and Mondo! I studied psychology in college and have always had passion for serving those with mental and developmental disabilities. In the floral off season, I happily work at a technical school helping juniors and seniors in high school learn job skills to help them be successful in their future careers. I enjoy all things pretty, retro, pink and have a preference for anything botanical. When I’m not flowering you can find me practicing embroidery, becoming too invested in a TV series, playing games with family and friends, or planning my next travel destination.

Why I Do What I Do

The simple act of finding joy and sharing it with others has been my focus over the past few years. Floral design is such an amazing art form that requires both technical skills and creative intuition using one of nature’s most beautiful gifts. Sourcing beautiful blooms and making them into something cohesively stunning brings me so much joy. The best part of it all, is that what brings me the most joy, brings others joy! The look in someone’s eyes when I present to them a piece I’ve made will never get old. You can see the spark of awe, wonder, and admiration when someone sees a floral design they really love. I often joke that “I put love into every stem,” but it’s true. Each stem I place in an arrangement or bouquet is placed there with so much intention. Creating art and sharing it with others is one of life’s most special gifts. And the fact that I am able to create art for other’s on one of their most significant and happy days of their lives is such a special honor I will never take for granted. What a blessing it is to experience joy.
